After the family had purchased a used BMX for a special little someone, there was some small work that needed to be done with it.
On further inspection, the New BMX had seen some sort of grind marks on the actual Main Sprocket.
When looking into the issue, it was found that the Crank was slipping thanks to not being put together properly.
And here is to why….
The Crank had spacers to help space out the Main Sprocket and Crank Arm accordingly.
However the thing about these spacers was that there were too many of them and this is why the Crank Arm was slipping on the Main Sprocket.
So it was time to get to it and start pulling the Crank Arm off and see what to do about these spacers.
So as the Arm came off, I noticed Three Spacers.
Now came time to experiment with the Spacers and see how many were actually needed to be taken out to help get the Crank Arm on nice and snug as well as the Sprocket not too slip.
Finding that the One Spacer was the way to go, it was time to put the Crank Arm back on.
However, to help aid it a little, it was also time to place a bit of Lube onto the Crank Shaft.
Here we go….
Followed by placing the Crank Arm back on.
But it was not just the Crank that needed work as things had been a bit deflated….
So as the Pressure was raised, the Front Tyre was Finally Full.
Followed by the Rear too.
As these services were done, it was time to take it to the Local Car Wash and Wash it Clean.
The Above Pic being before the Wash.
The Above Pic being after the Wash.
Now just to finalize the service it was time to give the Chain a final Lube.
