In the heart of the Dandenongs comes a really precious place where you will find Riders gather together for their latest Treks.
The place more specific is known as Silvan, and is surrounded by really nice National parks where one can either Walk through Naturous bliss, or Ride like a Madman. In this case, it was the latter….
Arriving at the destination, the vehicle was soon to be parked followed by grabbing some gear and taking a moment to breath in the nice fresh crisp air.
Enjoying the surroundings for a moment as well as appreciating the fact that the weather came good was also a plus moment for the Day.
However, taking note that the BMX was in some need of a little TLC, it was time for a minor service by placing some special Lube onto the Chain as well as into the Cranks Main Bearings.
After the minor service was completed, it was time to grab some other things including the GoPro’s, Selfie Stick and a small Backpack.
Making the decent to the Track was no easy feat as there is quite a bit of riding up and down some hills and valleys especially some Big hills that was definitely no fun.
But when finally arriving to the Top and at the beginning of JJ’s, it is definitely a nice spot to take a breather before finally making your decent through the actual Trail.
The really Cool part to note is that there are quite a number of other Trails to choose from including another to the left and right of JJ’s.
And One sort of Track or Trail behind it too.
The Official Ride!
To be honest it has been about 2 years since the last Ride so as expected there was quite a bit of getting used to everything once again.
This meant that quite a bit of the Feel and Skill needed some rework on my part unlike that which had been achieved 2 years back.
Followed by the fact that because quite a bit of Rain had fallen a few days prior to my arrival the Trail was still quite soppy and wet which allowed quite a lot of slipping and sliding (as can tell by the muddy Tyre pictured below).
About the JJ’s Trail.
The Trail itself is quite challenging and therefore recommended for more experienced Riders and here is to why….
Although the Trail will begin with a nice soft entry with a little bit of twists and turns, it will not take too long before you enter a number of ruts and bumps followed by some dips and dives or better said small Cliff jumps (which by the way are more advanced then they actually sound), and if that is not enough, you will eventually come across some decent jumps along the way which have some gaps at least a few meters or more.
Then eventually you will come across a pretty steep downhill type section.
Otherwise the Trail itself is a load of Fun, but as mentioned Earlier, more for Experienced Riders.
Otherwise if you are up for it, then….
