Heading out one Sunny Sunday Afternoon, I went to a very Local Mountain Bike Track to do some Riding Rugged…. RNDM-BMX Style!
As I placed on my Helmet and Gloves followed by a quick Bike Check, I saw that all was well and therefore continuing my quest.
Approaching the first Trail, I took a run up to gain some extra pace before speedily bumping along the Rugged Terrain.
WHOA! Now that is what you call A Rush!
Continuing on, I had quite a bit of the Trail to cover so as I Weaved, Ducked and Jumped my way through, it was all the more Satisfying.
A few little things to know before Riding Rugged….
Now let me just say that Ridding Rugged on a BMX Bike, gets super bumpy and can get really quite rough, but it is such a blast if you do ever try it, and for those that are eager to do so, below are just a few Tips to keep in mind….
Make sure you have good riding Equipment, especially a Helmet and Gloves as they really do help.
Having a quality helmet defiantly helps protect your head from Lo-hanging Branches and other such obstacles. The other thing that really helps is if you are to fall, your head will be protected.
Gloves are very helpful too as they help you grip onto your Bars better as well as assist if you happen to fall.
Knobby style tyre’s will also help your BMX stay gripped up on a rough bumpy trail.
As well as some Thorn Proof style Tubes with Goo inside just in-case you do have a puncture along the way.
You will defiantly need some sort of Brakes too. Trust me on this one, as nothing is worse than riding brake-less as they really are a Key element in Riding Rugged style Terrain. Preferably the Brakes should also be at the Back.
Another help is to make sure your Chain can handle the pressures of dusty, harsh type terrains. So the Product above came in real handy.
